Rescue & Placement Information- Each state throughout the U.S. maintains animal cruelty laws and regulations that govern horses and their ownership. Often times horses can be subjected to abuse and neglect. If you suspect that a horse is being abused or neglected please contact your local authorities or animal welfare organization.
If you're not sure where to locate assistance, you can easily do a Google Search of "Equine Rescues"-
Special Thanks!- It is with heartfelt thanks to the many wonderful rescue organizations that provide immediate homes and assistance to horses in need. The placement of horses in need of homes is a tiring job and requires a real dedication and love for the horse. The work involved is a labor of love and many depend solely on donations. We highly recommend if you're interested in becoming involved in horse rescue to contact a facility or organization near you. There are many ways you can help! Since a majority of rescues are non-profit status, 501 (c) 3, monetary donations are tax deductible.
Please consider giving as even the smallest amount can and does make a difference for the life of a horse!
